A great way of seeing the City and trying something new! 5 out of 5! - 7th July 2010 - fashionjewel
"I have lived in London for the past 8 years and was looking for something interesting and different to do for my boyfriend's and my 5 year Anniversary. I couldn't decide where to start my tour or where to finish for Dinner but the Small Car Big City Team were really great at offering me tips and advice on loads of places to go and really took their time understanding what I was looking for, for my tour and my special evening out. Even before I had decided which tour I wanted to go on I already felt like I had my very own London insider who seemed to know every where to go! This gave me great confidence in them and when we went on the the tour I was not let down at all!. We were picked up from the Mayfair hotel, where they had recommended going for cocktails, it was the perfect glamorous place to start! The Mini was beautiful and we had champagne in the back as we were driven around. The tour was really interesting and there were so many things I didn't know about London! Our tour guide Al was full of quirky information about the City and also took his time getting to know us so he could show us the things that would interest us the most. It was a wonderful evening and something I will remember forever!"
Great way to see central London! 5 out of 5! - 6th July 2010 - USdelfield
"Our driver Oliver was excellent. Fun way to see the city and learn a lot of facts. He knows all the back routes and can take you to places larger vehicles can't get to. Highly recommend."
Great way to start your London visit! 5 out of 5! - 5th July - desserttraveller84
"We did the 2 hour tour. If you can afford it, do it. It really gives you a great preview of the city that the big tour buses can't do. Learn a lot of facts about the city and some smaller, more quaint places to visit while in London. Robert was our tour guide and did a great job. The restaurants he recommended were right on. The mini can go just about anywhere, which makes for an exciting trip. Definitely recommend."
The only city tour to take in London! 5 out of 5! - 3rd July 2010 - acqueen
"An extremely warm day in London resulted in an overheated Mini and a delay in the start of our tour, however it was definitely worth the wait! If you want a personal, friendly, and knowledgeable tour this is the way to go. There's no cheesy script read to you by a boring tour guide in a large tour bus that only takes a specific route every time. Our driver Robert (one of the owners), knew all kinds of interesting facts and ways to get all around the city to allow us to see as much as possible. He even stopped traffic for us in front of Abbey Road so we could get a picture crossing it with the car in the background!"
The best way to start your stay! 5 out of 5! - 26th June - kkent
"You can even have them pick you up at the train station. London is the worse city for driving, but these guys know how to get around, see many of the sites, and avoid tons of traffic. We had two cars, one for kids and one for us, and it was great. Probably the highlight of our trip to London (x Mama Mia). And in only 90 minutes we saw a ton. The drivers are the owners, and have a vested interest in making the tour fantastic."
Wonderful Tour! 5 out of 5! - 21st June 2010 - woolfItaly
"For my first anniversary with my husband we decided to visit London. We have already visited the city in past years, so we wanted to do something different from the typical tour on double decker bus. We found this tour and I have to say that it was fantastic! First it is as you have a private guide, because on a mini can stay only 3 people plus the guide. So the mini was only for us! We visited the city and our guide Alastair Bruton (you are the best guide I have ever met!!!!) was extremly friendly, patient (ho spoke slowly for us, because our english is just scholastic), he told us many interesting facts about the city, the queen, history, trademarks, things that are not written on your guide! He also asks you wich part of the city you prefer to visit and you can ask him to change the route while he is driving if ther's something that you want to see. I extremely reccomand this tour to anyone who wants to see a different face of the city, on a different vehicle, with a friendly and competent young guide!
Thanks again Alastair you have contributed te make special our vacation!"
A fun way to see London! 5 out of 5! - 21st June 2010 - failedninja
"As part of my 1960’s themed birthday surprise I was more then overjoyed when I was taken to St James Park tube station to find a classic Mini Cooper waiting for us to do in words of Michael Caine - The Italian Job!
Within 5 minutes of being greeted by Robert our guide, we quickly settled in and as requested, Robert had supplied flutes for us to quaff our Champagne.
With a 1960s soundtrack playing on the stereo, we put on our flat caps as we headed off for a tour through London. (If you wanted the whole Italian Job experience they also provide clients with bright blue jumpsuits!)
Having lived in London for over 15 years, my partner and I are familiar with all the historic London landmarks. However Robert adapted our tour by revealing the quirkier side of London, which we found amusing and informative.
It’s surprising that although we live and work in the London we hardly ever make time just to be tourists for a while. However I can wholeheartedly say this is the most enjoyable, personal and friendly way to see London.
So forget big tour buses, think small and contact the guys with the Mini’s. You wont be disappointed. It made my birthday just that extra bit special! 10/10."
The BEST tour of London EVER! 5 out of 5! - 13th June 2010 - RPeeters

The big tour companies have a lot to learn from these guys! 5 out of 5! - 8th June 2010 - abcdefghijkl
"Amazing experience. Must do in london.
Very friendly tour guide. Exteremly knowledgeable and I learnt so much about london that I never knew about.
If there is one thing you have to do in London, this must be it."
Great experience! 5 out of 5! - 1st June 2010 - caramelaa
"We enjoyed the mini cooper ride and touring London in a different way. There is no comparison between touring London in tourists buses and this ride! The guide was nice and surely knows a lot about London!
I won't hesitate doing it again...."
A MUST-DO! 5 out of 5! - 31st May 2010 - LightXX
"OK. this is my very first TripAdvisor review, ever, so be forgiving ;)
Until now i felt it wasn't really necessary to to write reviews about attractions having boatloads of reviews anyways. This time i thought I'd make a difference, because my wife and I enjoyed the tour that much.
First of, a tour in a '66 Mini through London is as much sightseeing fun as it possibly gets. That car cuts through traffic like no other car could possibly do, and goes to places no car could go to either, yet being VERY comfortable (I'm 6'2" and had no problem sitting in the back). But this is only half of the story. Far more important, you get a very competent tour guide as well, your driver. Our driver, Oli, he knows an awesome lot of facts and figures about London you won't find in any tourist guide. He will take you to places you simply won't see in those clichéd double-decker buses. Plus, he's an excellent driver as well. Even through London traffic is more than insane (besides the fact they drive on the wrong side of the road) we never felt insecure in any way.
This is a definite must-do, and its not expensive at all. Ff you got an hour to spare, give Oli a try!"
Amazing time! 5 out of 5! - 24th May 2010 - Astroph
"We booked our one hour tour over the phone with Robert. I was a little unsure that 3 passengers would be able to fit comfortably in the car and see much, but I was completely wrong! First off, our tour guide Robert was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, funny. This is the type of guide that will get you to laugh out loud many times during the tour as well as get you very interested in the history of the city. I'm amazed at his knowledge of the city as well as how great he navigates the car through traffic. This mini can go many places where tour busses cannot. I would highly suggest you make this the first thing you do when you come to London, you can follow up on foot and take more photos of things you found most interesting on the tour.
Robert was like having a best friend who moved away to London showing you the sites. I felt very comfortable and for myself and two others you can absolutely not beat the price. The cars are amazing and some of the secrets and jokes up his sleeve make the whole tour highly entertaining."
Get to know London the right way! 5 out of 5! - 16th May 2010 - JOYSK
"There are a lot of tour options in London, and many of them are good. But smallcarBIGCITY is a whole different experience. Zipping around London in a cool Mini with a personal guide whose love of London and its stories simply can't be beat! And don't forget that a Mini can go a lot of places - a lot quicker! - than those big tour buses can! You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know this amazing city in a truly intimate way. Don't miss it!"
The absolute BEST way to see London! - 5 out of 5! - 14th May - Manx27
"What fun! This is, by far, the most enjoyable, efficient and fun to see the best of London.
Our guide Robert showed us all the highlights of the city along with an interesting story to go with each. We saw things not in any guidebook. So much better than a boring (and cold) bus ride with a minimum wage guide mumbling a scripted spiel. We felt like celebrities when tourists would take OUR picture at stop lights! Questions? No problem. Special requests? They can handle that too. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough - great value too!"
Best ever...a MUST during your stay in London...! 5 out of 5! - 11th May 2010 - marias511
"I couldn't say enough great things about this tour. I am not a "tour" sort of person...but this is something you should not miss. Zipping around town in a mini...cool enough. But the guided tour is fantastic. And very intimate...you aren't on a bus with 50 strangers...you can ask all the questions you like, and the information is not restricted to the stuffy facts you find in any book. You know right away that you are with someone who knows London...from monuments and halls to churches, and even the tiny spots no one notices...and stories to go with them. Wholly entertaining...will recommend to anyone travelling to London."
Mr. Knight rocks London! 5 out of 5! - 10th May 2010 - MJPontheroad
"No, no the famous knight rider but Oliver Knight from smallcarBIGCITY tooks us for a ride through London. My wife and I squeezed in the back of the Mini and let time pass while we got background information of many important places and landmarks in London. It was a funny ride as well, you are driving by people who like their job and it shows."
Best way to see London! 5 out of 5! - 10th May 2010 - Gerrycambridge
"This is a great way to see London. I know London fairly well but still learned lots of new facts and legends. I was a bit concerned that the view from the mini would be a problem but far from it, we saw places you can't see from a bus and managed to avoid the London traffic. This was a really enjoyable tour. The drivers are very flexible, let them know in advance if you have any preferences or wish to adapt your tour slightly. And do ask questions, they know their stuff."
Don't miss this tour! 5 out of 5! - 9th May 2010 - Tashina27
"What a wonderful tour! My husband and I only had 1 day in London! Unfortunately, we are overachievers and wanted to see everything. Fortunately, we found Small Car Big City, and a very friendly & funny guy behind the wheel of a mini-cooper. With his too cute car and his obvious talent at giving fantastic tours, we were able to see everything we hoped to on our single day. He even customized the tour to what we found interesting and what we wanted to see, even going as far as dropping us off at the museum we had next on our agenda. We highly recommend this tour for anyone."
Really good fun! 5 out of 5! - 6th May 2010 - PBrie
"Having lived in London for some years now, the mini tour goes to show you don't have to be a tourist to explore your hometown in style. I booked a tour as a present for my husband and we both loved it. Great car, great guide, great tour. I thoroughly recommend smallcarBIGCITY to both tourists and Londoners alike. Don't do the city in a bus, do it in a mini!" - Priscilla
Great Fun if you have lived here for years or are visiting for the first time! 5 out of 5! - 2nd May 2010 - TimKantoch
"Just got back from the Great Escape tour with Ollie, Booked as a surprise for our anniversary. It was great fun, having lived in london for 5 years this was a great way to see some tourist sites with out any tourists! Ollie our driver was really informative whilst keeping the tour relaxed, I would recommend this whether you are visiting london for the first time or have lived here for years 10 out 10."
Amazing experience! Don't miss it! 5 out of 5! - 26th Apr 2010 - LebaneseAnonymous
"Fantastic! Robert gives you an entertaining tour of the city in an old Mini and shows you places that no other tour can show you...
Very recommended."
Fantastic fun way to see London! 5 out of 5! - 19th Apr 2010 - HelenJudith
"I wanted to do something a little different for my husbands birthday, this was perfect. We both know London quite well, but this was such a great way to whizz around. Ollie was so helpful right from the beginning helping me no end with this suprise. I chose the Monopoly Tour and then to be dropped on down in Colombia Road Market. Nothing was too much trouble. He is a really nice person to spend time with, fun and interesting. He obviously loves doing this. We were so lucky as we had a lovely sunny Sunday, windows down and off we went. We would love to do it again, maybe next time with all 3 of the Mini's and a group of friends. Thanks again to Ollie for all the help, you just have to ask and they will sort it out."
Perfect Introduction to London! 5 out of 5! - 16th Apr 2010 - mpa160
"I was traveling to London with my 14 year old daughter and was looking for something unique for us to do. smallcarBIGCITY was just the right thing. I emailed the company and got a prompt response about what tour to do. We were met at our hotel by our knowledgeable guide who whisked us off in a little green mini. My daughter loved the tour and loved feeling like a movie star when people took pictures and pointed at us in the car. It was a great introduction to the city and a very unique approach to a "normal" tour. Loved it. Cheers!"
So FUN! 5 out of 5! - 10th Apr 2010 - Waiting4mySabbatical
"We were in London for work and our local colleagues recommended this outstanding tour! It was so much fun to go on the back streets and to see all the major sites with not only accurate history, fun stories too. They will pick you up and drop you off at the location of your choice. This was the most fun I've ever had on a city tour. I've shared this idea with all my friends traveling to London! The Beatles playing in the background is just a nice added touch."
An absolute must - the highlight of my trip! - 5 out of 5! - 9th Apr 2010 - NYCfoodiegirl
"The best way to see the city and learn the history. Robert was charming, unbelievable knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining. Don't waste your time on a crowded tour bus with a guide who barely knows London. These guys grew up here and practically have PhD's in British history. Everyone, even locals, will love this experience and learn something new!"
Top notch! 5 out of 5! - 3rd Apr 2010 - Johncook59
"Quite possibly, the only way to see London!...Robert arrived at our hotel in Kensington on time and smartly dressed in a three piece suit and tie, a total retro 60s look from his shoes to his hat...He was keen to head out and so were we.This man was an encyclopedia of knowledge and interesting trivia beyond compair!...definately a very talented driver as well. The traffic was terrible but that little cooper breezed through every short cut, nook and cranny,it was a brilliant day for Wendy and I,and would recomend this as a far out way to see London, complete with the 60s music playing throughout!!! thank-you Robert for a most enjoyable day!!.. John and Wendy from Montreal Canada..cheers boys!!!..."
Simply Spectacular! 5 out of 5! - 31st Mar 2010 - EArthur
"When making our first trip to London, I wanted to find something unique but worthwhile to show us some of the ins and outs of London that would be out of the "typical touristy" things.
We chose the Royal Tour and were delighted by the behind the scenes pass around the city. Oli was full of fun facts and really tailored the tour to what we were interested in.
I can't think of a better way to introduce yourself to some of the best parts of the city!"
If tours aren't your thing, READ THIS! 5 out of 5! - 30th Mar 2010 - tbtennistx
"My husband and I booked this tour, a little hesitant. We aren't "tour kind of people". This tour was perfect in every way. Through the booking process with Robert we became comfortable and very excited. We were scheduled to meet Robert at our hotel after our overnight travel from the US. Arrive in London and don't let jet lag cause you to waste a day. Book a tour through this company and let them do all the work. Sit back, relax, and soak in London. Listening to Robert and his passion for the city was inviting, engaging, and very informative. We opted to do this tour to help us through the initial jet lag the first day and also get ideas of the must sees for the following two days in this great city. This is a reliable, comfortable, at times humorous, and knowledgable way to introduce your soul to London. Oh, and the car? Fabulous!"
A unique tour you can't pass up! 5 out of 5! - 29th Mar 2010 - harper723
"We found smallcarBIGCITY through Google and promptly checked out their website. It's very informative and well-organized with lots of pictures and reviews from other customers (most if not all of which were very positive- very encouraging!) Signing up for the Bridge Too Far tour was incredibly simple and when I had questions, I emailed Alistair and was always promptly answered (figuring in a 5-hour time difference!). Our guide, Robert, is a very witty, very friendly, and incredibly knowledgable guy! He was early to meet us and right away we were zipping around downtown London, going down alleyways normal-sized cars can only dream to go and slipping in and out of traffic with the best of 'em. Some guided tours can be boring and full of rote recitation of historical facts but Robert made it fun, interesting, and humorous. These guys definitely enjoy what they do and if you have an hour to spare, book a tour with them. You won't be disappointed and you'll have a great appreciation for London and all it has to offer!"
The only way to tour london! 5 out of 5! - 29th Mar 2010 - Hamilton11
"I love cars, and when I heard you could do a retro Mini Cooper tour around London, I jumped at the opportunity. I had really high expectations, and I must admit that they were exceeded on all counts. First, my train into London was late and I was worried that we were going to have to cancel our tour. So I called smallcarBIGCITY and told them about my situation, and they moved the tour an hour later without hesitation to fit my altered schedule.
Our tour guide was a young, excited, friendly, knowledgeable guy who you could tell loved his job. He was full of jokes and fun facts that you can only know from living in London. The car was well kept, clean, and ready to do driving maneuvers you could only do in a Mini (weave in and out of traffic, drive down side streets you could barely fit a golf cart through). He asked us what we wanted to see, and since we hadn't really ever been to London before, we went on a grand tour all around the city. I'd say I've seen a rather extensive amount of the city, ranging from Broad street to Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park to Parliament. While you may be worried about the terrible London traffic, there is always plenty to see and talk about, but if need be the Mini can weave its way around and make it to a side street!
If you are a lover of cars, talk to the guides because they love to talk about the history of their cars, in addition to pointing out the fancy Bentleys, Jags and Maseratis around the city. The funny thing is though, that you may be right behind a Bentley Continental or a Maserati Quattroporte but the people on the sidewalks are going to be taking pictures of the Mini and wishing they were you!"
The definitive way to see London! 5 out of 5! - 25th Mar 2010 - oyvindb
"The tour is fun, and we learned a lot of known and lesser known facts about London. Our guide Robert was humorous and knowledgeable. The car, along with the 60s outfit, gave a nostalgic feel to the London experience. It was raining the whole time, but this just added to the London-feeling. Lived up to all our high expectations. The small car and the friendly guide add a personal touch you can not get on a big red bus! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"
Simply the BEST! 5 out of 5! - 25th Mar 2010 - Bernieboy666
"What can I say, this was a brilliant experience, that was not only great fun, but also very educational. The drivers were all very approachable and friendly which made our group feel very welcome, it was a real buzz driving around London in a convoy of Mini's, it certainl caught the eye of many a tourist..
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is visiting London, it is definataly an experience that you will not forget.
Forget touring around London on a bus, with a boring commentary that you can not hear, this is much more personal and fun."
You've got to do this! 5 out of 5! - 21st Mar 2010 - Happy1travel
"We'd booked tickets to see a couple of shows and there's all the usual places to go and see in London. However, I was looking for something a bit different to do on our weekend visit. So I hit Tripadvisor to see if I could find it. It's never let me down before and this time is no different. The trip was easy to arrange and it's so pleasant to be able to deviate from the standard menu of offerings - we wanted to be picked up from our hotel, "No problem." We wanted to be dropped off at the British Museum (we had to do something usual), "No problem." Our driver Robert was bang on time and off we went in his shiny red Mini Cooper. Oh the memories. I used to drive an Austin Mini 1000 and as we climbed into Robert's car, it was like stepping back in time. I'm not sure which is best, his car or his knowledge of some of the more unusual bits of London history. All you need to know is that they are both good. I won't say any more because I don't want to spoil the experience for you. Just trust what the reviewers are saying about this. Personal service at its best. You won't be disappointed. We certainly weren't!"
It's a MUST! 5 out of 5! - 9th Mar 2010 - azzie9
"...must see & must try London attraction. First of all I'd like to mention that it was one of the birthday gifts to my girlfriend and I surely wanted it to be near to perfect. So it was. I picked 'A Bridge Too Far' tour but what I've got was far beyond my expectations. Ola Oli and thanks a lot, lad =)"
Highly reccomended! 5 out of 5! - 21st Feb 2010 - sarahba
"Had a fantastic one hour tour in the gorgeously restored minis - the drivers were really knowledgeable, you'll learn some interesting and unusual facts, plus the cars can get into tiny cobbled streets that those big boring tour buses can't! Attracted lots of attention from other tourists as they just look so cool whizzing round the city. Would definately recommend it."
The perfect treat! 5 out of 5! - 16th Feb 2010 - margyo
"A very dear friend of mine booked this unusual tour of London for my birthday and I really enjoyed every minute of it!I The car was really cool and the driver/guide was very charming, interesting and fun. I told all my friends and I would reccomend to anyone who want to see London from a new....perspective (for newcomers as well as for old residents). A memorable experience and the perfect treat if you want to make someone feel very special! Enjoy it, Francesca."
Great commentary accompanying a great way to get around! 4 out of 5! - 13th Feb 2010 - andrewpascoe
"I was expecting big things from the Minis themselves, and they delivered. What I was really pleastantly suprised at was the quirky and interesting knowledge our driver/guide Oliver had about the London sights we visited. Having lived here for a couple of years I was expecting a lot of the same information over again, but he talked for almost the whole time (a good thing!) about interesting news or facts that none of us had heard.
I'm going to get my parents to go on a Small Car Big City tour when they come over to visit in the summer, and would definitely recommend to people - and not just to tourists visiting the city."
The perfect gift! 5 out of 5! - 10 Feb 2010 - Stine_5
"smallcarBIGCITY gave us the opportunity to see london in a different way. Having lived just outside london for many years I thought I knew the city very well but Rob had loads of great facts and stories I had never heard before. A personal guide in a british car was the perfect gift for my parents for christmas. I would recommend the tour for everyone, both londoners and tourists. Its a great way to explore one of the most popular cities in the world! Thanks for a great tour!"
smallcarBIGCITY does the Italian Job! 5 out of 5! - 9th Feb 2010 - Dancingswift
"Eight ladies travelled from Shropshire to do 'The Italian Job' tour with smallcarbigcity as part of our weekend away. We were picked up promptly from our hotel where we donned blue jumpsuits and flat caps before the three mini coopers ventured out in convoy to explore the sights. Whilst we didn't drive down steps, over rooftops or drive through a shopping plaza, we did weave in and out of traffic to sneak down small side streets, listening to 60's music as we drove. We stopped for a photos outside St Paul's and became a tourist attraction ourselves! Rob and his team are very enthusiastic about their new venture; they are also very informative and willing to answer any questions about the city. We were dropped off at the London Eye in time to catch a river cruise that we had booked.
I would highly recommend this way of exploring the city; it's very informal and you can tailor make it to your requirements but above all its great fun."
The most impressive way to see London! 5 out of 5! 8th Feb 2010 - emmaday
"Though this is far from my first visit to London, this has been by far the most impressive way I have seen the city. Our guide Rob was thoroughly entertaining and informative. The Minis were a fabulous way to get around the city, everyone stopped to take pictures of us when we were stopped at lights! We got to see all the famous landmarks, as well as some secret hidden treasures we'd never heard of. Rob knows his stuff! Definitely the best, and the most unique, way to see and learn about London."
Unique fun filled tour, a total blast! 5 out of 5! - 7th Feb 2010 - PJMLincon
"From the moment Robert (our guide and the company MD, no less) collected us from the hotel until the end of the tour being dropped off at The London Eye, we were both impressed with the professional and informative nature of the tour. Robert was only too happy to adapt the tour to our wishes. This included the hotel collection and drop off at our choice of destination. Putting the Mini into gaps in the traffic that the other traffic had no hope of getting into, our tour included some of the more obscure and unique places in the City. Overall a cracking day out, well worth it and a "do it again, next time" event!"
Brilliant idea! 5 out of 5! - 3rd Feb 2010 - tradema0811
"What a great way to see the city. The tour guides are really easy going and funny and make it a really unique experience. Would recommend to anyone. There's just something really satisfying about cruising around Mayfair in a classic Cooper."
Unbelievably awesome and unique! 5 out of 5! - 31st Jan 2010 - NewYorkersInLondon
"The tour was fantastic! It was everything stated on the website and more. We traveled from New York to London and this was the most unique highlight of our site seeing adventures . Our tour guide Robert was extremely knowledgable with a wonderful sense of humor. His personal knowledge of the area just added to the experience. We would recommend it highly! The mini was ultra - cool and the experience was great. We traveled down alleys and made turns that a tour bus could never venture! You can not beat the price for such a personal tour. We are eager to return and try some of the other cool mini tours that are offered at smallcarBIGCITY.com! We would highly recommend planning a tour!"
A fantastic way to see the best city in the world! 5 out of 5! - 17th Jan 2010 - LondonLover8699
"I live just outside London and have always adored the city. smallcarBIGCITY meant I got a whole new perspective on my favourite place, seeing it from angles I'd never seen and zipping around in an iconic British car. Highly professional, very friendly, knowledgable, great value etc. I had a brilliat time!!"
This is the way to do it! 5 out of 5! - 8th Jan 2010 - TravelBuugg
"I planned this tour as a surprise for my fiance who is a fan of mini coopers. Whether you are a fan of the car or not, this tour is a fantastic and exciting way to see the city. We took the Best of British Board Game Tour. Robert, our tour guide and driver, kept our 2-hour tour moving with stories, a bit o' history, and lots of laughs. We especially appreciated that he provided some cute hats for us to wear to get into the spirit of things. We cruised up and down the streets enjoying some of the familiar spots we've come to love on previous visits to London, as well as a number of new places. It's a tour worth taking. This travel bug gives it two thumbs up! :)"
It will put a big smile on your face! 4 out of 5! - 16th Dec 2009 - sparrowlegs63
"We stayed over in London after watching a show. I have always wanted to visit scenes from favourite films over the years but never had the time to spend in London. I happened to be re-watching The Long Good Friday the week before our trip, and contacted smallcarBIGCITY. They put together a tour from our hotel that ended up back in time for lunch at Covent Garden. My wife loved it, and I managed to get from breakfast to lunch without having to enter a single shop!"
Best way to see the "smaller" beauty of London! 5 out of 5! - 13th Dec 2009 - Rotam
"Amazing, best way out of all the tours to see London. Could not have done more of a British tour if we tried. Sitting in a classic mini listening to the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and driving in the best car in the world! Would recomend this over any tour of London. Tour guide, dressed in retro suit, was knowledgable and new the more interesting unknown facts of London. Felt like I was transported back in time!! Awesome! Just do it!"
Absolutley fantastic!!!! 5 out of 5! - 26th Oct 2009 - Hathaway04
"Me and my girlfriend recently got engaged and we wanted to celebrate and do something special, we found out about smallcarbigcity and thought it would be a fantastic day out for us.
We decided that we would go on the 'Best of British Board Game Tour' and I have to say that I am simply chuffed at the fact we did, not only did we see lots of bits of London that we had not been to before, but we also learned loads about lots of areas, not to mention it gave us the chance to go through one of the worlds most loved board games.
Our driver for the day was Oli, who was very professional and friendly and added to the day massivley, I will recommend this company to absolutley everyone looking to do something a little different in London, we have only been on the one tour so I can't say how good the others will be but based on the day we had I would expect them all to be up to the same high standards! I will certainly be looking to go on other tours at later dates!"
